Open Division - Multi-State CompetitionSometimes affectionately dubbed Ne-Kan-Wy-Rado, the greater multi-state region of Southeast Wyoming, Eastern Colorado, Southwest Nebraska, and Northwest Kansas present very similar agricultural production landscapes. As the Central Great Plains region, the communities, products, and producer challenges are often quite similar.
As we look to the biggest opportunity to create impact across this region, focusing on the area as one is the best way to do so while expanding to reach a sizable market for development of agricultural technologies and innovations. With millions of animals on feed and millions of acres of farm production both irrigated and dryland, along with vast cattle grazing operations, this region offers fantastic access opportunities to agriculture proving grounds and test beds for new companies and technologies.
For this event, we are not setting hard geographic boundaries, but rather drawing a guideline for the territory we feel aligns with the spirit of the event. The intent is to pull in the greatest minds and innovators focused on ag technologies for the future in order to showcase those opportunities to area ag producers, ag investors, and other partners to build value across the industry for this region.
Bring your best concepts, but be prepared to support submissions with real world test cases and adoption in commercial ag production settings. We aren't just looking for good ideas, but for ideas that have true application for the farming and ranching community across the region.
